Came to this restaurant with my family for a lunch menu. There were 13 of us. Roka messaged me multiple times and emailed me a few times to confirm our orders. We were seated in the private dining area, which was a very nice area cordoned off from the rest of the restaurant. The cocktails were amazing as usual as were the appetizers. We ordered some à la cart sushi, and nigiri, which was great. The only problem we had at Roka was that they still somehow managed to mess up our main orders, even after so many confirmations and calls about our mains. Out of 13 guests the mains for three did not turn up. Two of them were hotpots which we eventually got 30 minutes after the rest of the people got their food. One of the baby chicken never came. However, after letting them know of our displeasure, they only charged us for 12 guests. They also put the dessert on the house which was a nice gesture because they needed to give two dessert platters for the tables. All in all a lovely outing with family. Reasonable spend of 3350 for the whole party.

Don't go on a Friday or Saturday night if you want to entertain a conversation, as the loud music will make you and your guests repeat yourselves multiple times! Although the food was as good (deserts were amazing) as the beginning of the service, the end of service was rude. They gave us the table for two hours, which were gone by the time they cleared the table from our mains. Instead of politely informing us that we had to leave soon, they still offered us desserts, but with a rush and rudeness completely in contrast with the atmosphere and the price of the place. Our guests didn't even finish their dessert that the waiter had already cleared my plate and brought the bill, which made them feel uncomfortable. My advice to the staff is to better manage timings and expectations for guests if they have such a strict turnaround. A simple "Just to let you know that we have the table booked for other customers and you will have approximately 10 minutes for dessert, is that OK?" would have helped loads. For all customers, keep an eye on your watch as they won't do that for you.

Great choice for a “quick meal” with a nice skyline view (and an outdoor terrace for cooler days). The reason I say "quick meal” is because the service seems very rushed, as if the team want to get customers in & out as quickly as possible. We were presented the bill before being asked our dessert, tea or coffee order. Although chairs are aesthetically appealing, they are certainly not comfortable to sit in for extended periods (i.e. dine & leave). Menu selection is as expected at a contemporary Japanese restaurant with good quality ingredients, beautiful presentation but nothing extraordinary.

Roka is a fantastic concept with beautiful interior and excellent food. Everything is well prepared, fresh, properly presented and the place is very comfortable and pleasant for both lunch and dinner with lots of light and natural elements. We had Sunday brunch so tried quite a few dishes and everything was superb. Like with every other restaurant in Dubai, service is where they fall short. Bunch of people attending the table (mind you, there were as many waiters today as there were occupied tables), which created lots of confusion. Drinks didn't arrive for 30 min, we had do remind 3 different people for drinks to finally be served. Someone who looked like manager spilled wine while serving it. Brunch dishes brought in wrong order, no one ever asked how was the food or bothered to explain the dishes. Check was brought without asking first whether we wanted anything else. No flow of service which is particularly important in fancy restaurants with sharing set menus. It's not a buffet. Just do better guys .. such a shame for a beautiful restaurant like that.. hire people who are trained waiters and assign them tables to take proper care of.

Amazing!! Went for the Saturday Brunch, the food was delicious and it was amazing value. We got bottomless drinks and we had so much food! The service was just as great! Sheroz and JV were great servers and incredibly hospitable. They explained how the brunch worked and all the dishes. They were very attentive and ensured we were looked after. Meggie was a lovely host and took care of us as well. Roka will be a place I visit time and time again when I’m in Dubai.

If you expect same experience as Zuma, you might end up disappointed. Roka has their own personality afterall eg. the ambience, service and food quality that is according to their price range too. I personally like their salads options, seasonal pickles and black cod fish. The waiter is friendly and attentive despite busy day and place is pretty much crowded with energetic music to uplift the spirits.

Food was amazing! Service was great, waiters were extremely helpful with explaining the menu & serving quickly. The view is amazing and the entire ambiance was 10/10.
